Today I helped with my high schools annual kick off weekend, to “kick off” next years marching season. As I sat with my instructor, instead of being out there with those girls, I thought that I have had a very successful high school career. I will miss my high school. A lot. I know I have great things to look forward to at college, I know I will have a lot of fun… but I won’t be in the safety of my hometown and school and friends. I will be the new freshman, instead of the senior who everyone knows. Through high school there has been losses, hard times, and big heart break, but the positives out weigh the negatives. I love the principal, teachers, coaches, students, everyone! I will always love Lewisburg High School, even though I say I cannot wait to get out. A piece of me will always be at that school. Now it’s time to take a step in another direction to head towards the rest of my life, I hope this next chapter is just as rewarding as the last.
